Fees vary depending upon the duration of the appointment, whether you have a referral from a medical professional and whether you have met the Medicare Safety Net. Please call us directly so that we can provide accurate information.

Below you will find detailed information on the most regularly utilised services. If you would like to ask about a particular service or if you have something in mind and cannot find it here, please email info@innertwist.com.au or call (07) 3736 1268.

Consultation appointments

Standard consultation appointments are 50 minutes. This includes communicating with, and providing regular reports to, your referrer if you’re under a Mental Health Care plan and continued communication at regular intervals.

For children and adolescents aged 18 years and under, the first appointment is for the child’s parent(s) or guardian(s). This ensures that there is time to thoroughly discuss concerns, take a developmental history, gain an understanding of how the family functions as a whole, and the impact the current difficulties have on the child and family. The second appointment is for the young person only and allows them to share their concerns and the factors that have played a part in developing and maintaining these concerns.

Kindly note that a medical referral is not needed to access our service and that you may be able to receive a rebate from your private health care fund for clinical psychology services. Make sure to check your eligibility for this.

Phone consultations

Phone consultations are provided for current clients. With your consent, phone consultations may be conducted with other professionals involved in your care or the care of your child. Booked phone consultations also offer the opportunity to seek support between your face-to-face sessions.

For all phone consultations, a fee is applied after the first 10 minutes.

Home visits and consultation sessions out of the office

Sometimes assessment and treatment is best provided in an environment besides the office.

School meetings or meetings with other professionals involved with yourself or your child may also be warranted. Fees will vary depending upon the location and duration of the out of office consultation.
